Can we have access to the barn for setup before the wedding?
If no one books the day before your wedding, we allow you to decorate early for a minimal fee.
What is your alcohol policy?
Sowell Farms does not have a liquor license; alcohol is supplied by the renter. All events in which alcohol is present, a Sowell Farms bar tender must be hired.
What are your unique features?
When you book with Sowell Farms you are becoming part of the Sowell family. We will be there for you throughout the wedding planning journey to make sure that your day goes perfectly. We also have some furry members in the Sowell family such as zebras, camels, and kangaroos, oh my!
How many guests can you accommodate?
We can accommodate 275 guests in our barn.
Can the bridal party get ready at Sowell Farms?
Yes. We offer bridal and groom suites that are equipped with restrooms, heating and cooling, tables, chairs, and even a pool table!
Do you have a kitchen?
Yes. We have a prep room that is equipped with large sinks, industrial refrigerators, and food warmers.
Do you have heating and air conditioning?
Yes, we have heating and cooling units in all of our fully insulated indoor spaces.
What are the rental hours?
We allow occupancy from 7:00am-10:30pm
How do I reserve my date?
We request a fifty percent deposit to reserve your date.
Is wedding insurance required?
Yes, we require event liability insurance, which can be purchased here.
Is there a place to enjoy an outdoor bonfire?
Yes. We have a stone firepit area, conveniently located next to the barn. We also have a fire attendant for hire and fire wood available for purchase.
What happens if there's a power outage?
Our facilities are equipped with a backup generator, so the event will continue with no problem
Do you offer in-house catering?
YES! We offer our brides and grooms the option of using our in-house catering called The Whistling Pig! Check it out here!
